chubby cheetah continues the journey…..
Candy Crush Saga is bogged down on level 121 and chubby cheetah is bogged down at the 5# loss mark, with (due to honesty in blogging) a bit of up and down daliance around that mark.
End of summer, vacation travels, social events, business dinners and bottles of bubbly can be used as reasonable cause when pleading my case… HOWEVER… there will always be something, and usually more than one something…. life is meant to be lived and life can be lived well, wihout losing site of maintaining a healthy weight…
aside, Thursday was blood draw day for my annual physical next week… the story will be told when the results are in… how healthy is chubby cheetah, really? Be very clear, having blood drawn is a bloody misery for chubby cheetah, the latest adventure took one entire hour, two techs, a heat pack and extreme patience by all…. There is blood in the chubby cheetah, it just likes to stay there!
So, in light of the impending physical, the impending change of seasons with change of wardrobe, is is incumbant upon chubby cheetah to discuss impending dietary changes!
Specifically… the fresh fruit this summer was amazing… and dramatically overshadowed vegetable consumption. Vegetables were left on the shelf… passed over for fruit time and time again… nothing wrong with fruit… however veggies fill with less calories, less sugar and provide needed nutrients as well.
the wine this summer was amazing, new malbecs, delightful bottles of bubbly shared with friends and family, sweet white sangrias sipped on a sultry summer night… memories, relegated to memories…. this fall more memories, more restraint, less sipping.. Sigh! (You know that deserved a sigh!)
So, I have many recipes marked, many pages bent over… much healthy food to choose from… this week marks the start of the return to the crockpot, soups, veggie sides… I’ll keep you ‘posted’ on my food choices this week..
